Vertex
The company was founded in 1912 by Claude Lyons with a loan of £1000 from his father-in-law, and imports Swiss movements that are cased in Britain.
In 1916 it became a Limited company based in Hatton Gardens with offices in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland.


1951
Vertex becomes the exclusive importer or Revue Thommen watches to the UK


1958
Vartex creates co-branded timepieces as "Vertex Revue" in order to capitalise on the brands respective reputations.


1972 The lease on the Hatton Garden's offices expires and the company is closed, mainly due to the advent of quartz watches.


In 2015 the company was revived by Claude's great grandson, Don Cochrane and now produce a new version of the WW2 military issued watch, the M100 based on the original Cal 59.

The Revue 77 watch movement is a manual wind mechanical movement with an indirect sweep second hand. It is known to have an optional Breguet hairspring and was commonly used after 1955.

This is based on the fact that 1958 was the first year Vertex marketed 'Revue' watches and i think one of the service marks indicates a service in 1968 (after 10yrs).
